Chairmen’s Message

We take great pleasure in extending a cordial invitation to you to participate in the 12th International Conference on Steel, Space and Composite Structures. The first inaugural conference was held way back in 1984 to mark the inception of the Singapore Structural Steel Society (SSSS) and since then, this conference series has always been supported by the SSSS and the many national steel associations. The main objective of this conference is to bring those who shared a common interest in the related subject areas together and to promote international communication of new ideas, developments and innovations. This 12th Conference will be held in the beautiful city of Prague, Czech Republic and promises to be an exciting one, with many keynote and technical presentations. The highlight will certainly be the SS14 Conference Lecture which will be delivered by a prominent and internationally well-respected researcher.

The conference organizing committee is looking forward to a very successful and convivial gathering of like-minded friends and we look forward to welcoming you to Prague in May 2014.
